Breast Surgery Symposium

Atlanta Plastic Surgery Co-Founder Dr. Carl Hartrampf, a renowned pioneer in the field of breast surgery for his origination of the TRAM flap breast reconstruction method for mastectomy patients, is the founder of the annual Breast Surgery Symposium. Among much professional recognition, Dr. Hartrampf was honored by the American Medical Association for his immeasurable addition to the quality of life for breast cancer patients.

The Breast Surgery Symposium is an educational conference sponsored by the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS) which allows plastic and reconstructive surgeons from around the globe to gather and discuss the latest issues and developments in cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. The symposium serves to further educate surgeons on all aspects of breast surgery including: Oncoplastic Surgery (surgery to restore the breast of cancer patients), Breast Augmentation, Mastopexy (Breast Lift), fat injections, Autogenous Breast Reconstruction, Implant Revision, and Complications of Breast Procedures. The

2011 Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium agenda is an all-encompassing lineup of emerging breast surgeries (revisionary, augmentative, and reconstructive.) Additionally, the Symposium will include representative from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery(ASAPS), and The International Society Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) to facilitate inter-industry communication and surgical peer networking.

The skilled surgeons of Atlanta Plastic Surgery strive to provide exceptional results with all of the breast, body, and facial cosmetic procedures and reconstructive procedures they perform. In an effort to do so, the APS team is continually participating in open forum special education symposia like the Atlanta Breast Symposium.
