Insurance Information
Atlanta Plastic Surgery is proud to accept Humana® health insurance for our reconstructive surgery patients. Dedicated to quick responses and friendly service with coverage to fit any budget, Humana® health insurance will cover most reconstructive surgery procedures including facial reconstruction and breast reconstruction; however, procedures that are cosmetic in nature like breast augmentation or tummy tuck surgery will not be covered by insurance. There is a chance that procedures like breast reduction surgery may be covered, but this must be determined by the insurance company on a case-by-case basis. In order for Humana® to cover plastic surgery costs, Atlanta Plastic Surgery will submit a pre-authorized letter to them that includes diagnosis, procedure codes, and photos. This process can take up to 6 weeks, and depending on the specific insurance plan and patient's needs, Humana® may require additional information before pre-authorizing surgery.
