Matrix RF™ Skin Resurfacing
There are many skin resurfacing options available today. Unlike more traditional resurfacing methods, Matrix RF™ uses fractional pulses of radio waves to help more efficiently eliminate skin conditions like wrinkles, acne scars, uneven skin tone, and irregular texture. Matrix RF™ utilizes radiofrequency waves instead of laser light to heat the deeper layers of the skin while leaving the surface tissue intact. This is what makes it great for individuals of all skin types. The deep dermal heating induces the body’s natural healing response, which helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and more.
The heating of the epidermal layer helps to stimulate collagen production which encourages healing and the creation of new skin cells. The majority of patients sees results after just one treatment and experience few side effects. While some patients may have facial redness immediately after the procedure, there is little to no downtime with Matrix RF™ because the surface layers of the skin are unharmed.
While results are visible after only one treatment, the exact number of treatments necessary will depend on your cosmetic goals, skin condition(s), and the treatment area(s). Most patients receive an average of three treatments, each spaced four to six weeks apart to allow for the skin to rejuvenate.
