Dr. Ann Schwentker
practices in all aspects of pediatric plastic surgery, from correction
of congenital defects to reconstruction following trauma or surgery.
Her special interests include pediatric microsurgery for reconstruction
of the injured brachial plexus and facial nerve, ear reconstruction
and cleft lip and palate. She also maintains an active interest
in aesthetic surgery including facial rejuvenation and body contouring.
Dr Schwentker is board certified.
Dr. Ann Schwentker is
Director of the Center for Brachial Plexus and Facial Nerve Reconstruction
at Children's Hospital. A Yale graduate and Fulbright scholar, Dr
Ann Schwentker graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School
of Medicine. She received her residency training in plastic surgery
at the University of Pittsburgh and specialized training in Pediatric
Plastic Surgery at the University of Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.
Dr. Ann Schwentker has conducted research in wound healing including
keloid and hypertrophic scarring, and has contributed articles on
wound healing and pediatric microsurgery to medical journals.
When out of the office, Dr. Ann Schwentker and her husband are involved in raising their three children, scuba diving, skiing, and plastic surgery mission work in Honduras.
