Thigh Lift (Thighplasty) Surgery

Unlike liposuction (body contouring), which isolates very specific regions of fat underneath the skin, thigh lift surgery affects the appearance of a larger area: removing layers of fatty tissue and excess skin of the inner and/or outer thigh.

Atlanta Plastic Surgery’s plastic and reconstructive surgeons perform inner, bilateral, and medial thigh lifts to eliminate skin and tighten remaining tissues in the respective regions of the leg. For post weight-loss patients who may have multiple areas of excess skin, thighplasty is easily performed in conjunction with abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), arm lift (brachioplasty), and body lift procedures.

Post bariatric surgery patients enjoy the freedom that accompanies shedding pounds of fat, but are often encumbered by the excess, hanging skin that is left behind. Because the skin’s elasticity is limited, many massive weight-loss patients seek thigh lift surgery (thighplasty) to rid them of the unsightly skin and complete the transformation they’ve worked so hard to complete.

The following doctors perform thigh lift surgery at Atlanta Plastic Surgery. Click on a doctor to learn more about their practice and to view before & after thigh lift photographs.
