One of the most exciting things about cosmetic plastic surgery is that it is constantly evolving. New developments are happening all the time, and I am always excited to learn more about the latest techniques and technology, and to share the discoveries that I have made with my colleagues. One fascinating topic that has gotten a lot of attention lately is fat transfer, a procedure that uses purified fat, taken from the patient’s own body via liposuction, to add volume to desirable areas like the breasts and buttocks, to repair contour deformities, and generally to improve the health and well-being of the skin. Fat transfer techniques are certainly nothing new, and I have been using them routinely for more than a decade, both because they are so versatile and because they achieve such beautiful results. I frequently appear in educational videos for The Plastic Surgery Channel and other forums to better inform patients who are interested in cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. I recently had the opportunity to speak about the many benefits of fat transfer procedures on Real Self.
As you can see, fat transfer can be used for a wide variety of things, ranging from facial rejuvenation to injury and scar repair to buttocks and breast augmentation. If you want to learn more about all the things that fat transfer can do, or about any of the facial rejuvenation and body contouring cosmetic plastic surgery procedures that I perform, please connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ for more plastic surgery news and updates. If you are interested in undergoing a cosmetic or reconstructive plastic surgery procedure, contact me, Dr. James Namnoum, to schedule a consultation today.
