Dr. Frank Elliott
Franklyn Elliott, M.D. is a double board-certified plastic surgeon who joined Atlanta Plastic Surgery in 1987. Practicing from our Northside location, Dr. Elliott performs a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures for the face, body, and breasts. Throughout his extensive career, Dr. Elliott has cultivated a reputation for his careful judgment and thoughtful consideration of each patient’s needs. His experience with all types of breast implants makes him skilled at both cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery. He has a special interest in breast augmentation, management of complications (including symmastia and malpositioning), and breast lift (mastopexy) using a short vertical scar.
Dr. Elliott is one of the most respected and awarded plastic surgeons in Georgia. These recognitions include being named a Top Doctor in Atlanta by Castle Connolly in the field of Plastic Surgery for over 20 consecutive years. He was given the honor of joining the Best Doctors in America® Database in 2014, a list of the top 5% in clinically and academically accomplished medical practitioners, researchers, and teachers in the U.S..
Dr. Elliott assisted in the development and introduction of the revolutionary mammaplasty technique to breast reconstruction as well as significantly refining the TRAM flap method for breast reconstruction. He played an integral part of the organization of the now annual Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium, serving as the Program Chairman and Director from 1988 to 2004 and as the Symposium’s Co-Director since 2004.
Dr. Elliott travels extensively, operating and teaching across the U.S. and internationally. He is a clinical professor in Surgery at Emory University. Dr. Elliott served as the 2001 President of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (SESPRS), and he is a member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). He graduated from Vanderbilt University Medical School, completing his General Surgery residency at Vanderbilt and Tulane and his Plastic Surgery residency at Emory University. Dr. Elliott is affiliated with both Northside Hospital in Atlanta. His cosmetic surgery practice utilizes a state-of-the-art outpatient surgical center, Northside Sandy Springs Outpatient Surgery Center. This center features one-on-one anesthesia care by M.D. anesthesiologists from Northside Hospital as well as overnight units with one-on-one personalized nursing care for patients who prefer to stay overnight after their surgical procedure.
Dr. Elliott regularly performs cosmetic surgery procedures on patients from around the U.S., including many who travel to be treated by him each year. His experience includes body contouring procedures like breast augmentation, tummy tuck surgery, liposuction, mommy makeover surgery, and male breast reduction. His cosmetic procedures for the face include his signature short scar facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, non-surgical injectable treatments, and more.
Dr. Elliott’s team consists of his long-time physician’s assistant, Patti Bergey, P.A.-C., his administrative assistant, Suzanne Campbell, and his nurse, Michelle Kirkland, R.N., B.S.N. This team, along with an experienced group of in-house aestheticians and nurses, provide a professional total care experience for Atlanta cosmetic and reconstructive surgery patients.
Dr. Elliott has two daughters. His hobbies include travel, golf, biking, mountain climbing, and reading history.
