Dr. Maske performs the following facial procedures:
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Blepharoplasty, more commonly known as eyelid surgery, can help refresh tired-looking eyes by getting rid of sagging skin and deposits of fat that make patients look older than they are. Performed on the upper eyelid, lower eyelid, or both, a blepharoplasty can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and puffiness around the eyes and even reduce and treat sagging eyelids that can impair vision. Eyelid surgery can help you appear younger, more rested, and refreshed.
Ideal eyelid surgery patients are individuals who feel as though their upper and/or lower eyelids are too droopy, saggy, or puffy. Those with dark circles and bags underneath their eyes may also benefit from blepharoplasty.
Dr. Maske performs eyelid surgery by making an incision along the natural crease of the eyelid or the lower lash line to remove any excess skin or fat. Transconjunctival incisions are hidden inside the lower eyelid to remove excess fat while minimizing appearance of scars.
While recovery time varies from person to person, most patients require a short period of rest for the first few days in which the head is elevated. Any swelling or bruising should subside within the first week. It is important to follow all post-surgical recovery requirements and wear all post-surgical garments or gauze. Eyelid surgery patients should be able to return to work within seven to ten days, though their vision may be blurry for a few days after surgery.

Facelift
Facelift surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic plastic surgery procedures. Used to remedy signs of aging in the face and neck, a facelift can treat fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, and more. Dr. Allyson Maske performs a facelift by creating an incision along the hairline and/or around the ears. From there, fat is redistributed or removed from areas like the jowls and neck, and sagging skin is removed to help reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging.
Individuals who would be best suited for a facelift include men and women with skin around the face and neck that has begun to droop as a result of age. While a facelift does help reverse signs of aging in the face and neck, it does not stop the aging process nor does it change the basic appearance of your face.
Depending on each patient’s situation, recovery from facelift surgery will vary. Most patients are able to return to work a week after surgery, though more strenuous activities like exercise should be put off until you are cleared by your surgeon. Forehead Lift (Browlift Surgery)
For those with signs of aging localized in the upper face, a forehead lift may be a viable cosmetic surgery option. Sometimes referred to as a brow lift, forehead lift surgery helps to reduce the appearance of frown lines, sagging eyebrows, and wrinkles across the forehead.
Performed either through incisions made along the upper hairline or using an endoscope for minimal incisions, forehead lift involves repositioning of the forehead tissue and muscle and removal of excess skin. Regardless of the procedure methods, incisions are generally hidden within the hairline so scars are not visible.
Through a consultation, Dr. Allyson Maske can determine your candidacy for forehead lift surgery. Ideal patients are those who are unhappy with their appearance because of sagging eyebrows, forehead creases, and/or brow furrows.
Much like a facelift, brow lift surgery does not alter the fundamental appearance and does not stop the aging process. Recovery from forehead lift surgery depends on the type of incision used and the patient’s individual healing time. Most patients can return to work within a week after surgery. More rigorous activities like exercise should be avoided until you have been cleared by your surgeon.
