Consultation Technology

At Atlanta Plastic Surgery, we use the latest developments in plastic surgery technology to enhance the entire plastic surgery experience. Advancements like the Vectra® M3 Imaging system and TouchMD not only help keep patients fully informed at every stage of their procedure, but also help to ensure that their expectations are fully understood by our board-certified plastic surgeons so that together they can achieve the best possible plastic surgery results.

vectra

The Vectra® M3 imaging system by Canfield Imaging Systems uses multiple high-resolution cameras to simultaneously capture photos of the face and body from different viewpoints. Sophisticated computer software then uses these photographs to compile a digitally simulated, three-dimensional computer image which can be modified to let patients preview the potential results of various plastic surgery procedures. This allows our surgeons to guide patients visually through the surgical planning process while allowing patients to effectively see the results of different surgical procedures and techniques before undergoing surgery. Ultimately this improves the final outcome of any cosmetic plastic surgery procedure by helping the surgeon to understand exactly what the patient wants while helping the patient to understand their options and to form realistic, achievable expectations.

touchmd

TouchMD is an easy to access on-line resource that provides patients with a wealth of information at the touch of a button.  During consultations, your doctor can upload before and after plastic surgery photos, educational content or procedural videos, and even personal consultation notes to the TouchMD software.  You can then access this information at any time from your personal computer, tablet, or mobile device using a secure network and log-in, allowing you to conveniently review everything in the comfort and privacy of your own home.  Giving patients easy access to information before, during, and after their surgery helps to alleviate anxiety and to ensure that the entire procedure and recovery process goes as smoothly as possible.

Non-Surgical Technology

coolsculpting

At Atlanta Plastic Surgery, P.C., there is a variety of body contouring procedures available to address areas of unwanted fat. However, many patients who aren’t quite ready for a traditional surgical procedure and the associated downtime can benefit from our latest fat reduction technology, CoolSculpting®. CoolSculpting® non-surgical fat reduction uses a process known as Cryolipolysis to apply cold temperatures and freeze fat cells so the body will naturally dispel the fat through the lymphatic system.

CoolSculpting® is FDA-cleared to reduce fat on the abdomen and flanks, and can also treat common areas such as the back, thighs, buttocks, and arms. Treatments take approximately one hour per treatment area, and patients have reported fat reduction results within three weeks after their procedure. Since each patient’s body naturally eliminates the treated fat cells, full results can be seen within a few months. CoolSculpting® is completely non-invasive and does not require anesthesia, incisions, scars, compression garments, or even downtime. Patients can return to regular activity immediately.

ultherapy

One of the most prominent signs of aging is loss of skin elasticity. Many patients, especially older patients, are concerned with drooping skin around the face and neck that can cause wrinkles, jowls, and an aged appearance. While necklifts and face lift surgery address these concerns, Atlanta Plastic Surgery also provides Ultherapy® non-surgical skin tightening to lift and tone sagging skin.

Ultherapy® uses ultrasound technology to target deep layers of tissue and stimulate the body’s own healing response to firm areas of loose skin. Ultrasound waves encourage collagen production so results should continue to improve with time. Ultherapy® can be applied to the lower face, jaw, neck, chin, brows, and eye area. Noticeable results will appear after two to three months. Depending on each patient’s condition, more treatments may be necessary for optimal results.

sciton

The advanced Sciton® laser technology at Atlanta Plastic Surgery P.C. offers a minimally invasive method to address a variety of skin conditions. Our Broadband Light™ laser can treat minor skin conditions such as acne, skin discoloration, uneven skin texture, and unwanted hair while the Erbium laser is specifically used for laser peels to address wrinkles, scars, keratosis, sun damage, and uneven pigmentation. Finally, the new Halo™ hybrid fractional laser system provides all the benefits of a powerful surface treatment while simultaneously activating the skin’s natural healing process to allow patients to achieve comprehensive results with a shorter recovery time.

Sciton® laser skin resurfacing stimulates collagen production in order to rejuvenate skin and prolong results and, because laser depth and treatment levels can be customized to suit each patient, all Sciton® lasers can provide optimal results for a variety of different skin types and tones. Our board certified plastic surgeons may also use them in the operating room to enhance plastic surgery results.
