Learn more about the facial procedures offered at Atlanta Plastic Surgery: chemical peel, dermabrasion, ear surgery, eyelid surgery, face lift, facial contouring, forehead lift, laser resurfacing, maxillofacial surgery, neck lift, oculoplastics, and surgery of the nose.
Chemical peel is a non-invasive technique of resurfacing the skin’s top layers. It can produce a smoother, tighter, younger-looking skin surface. It can be used for the full-face or in limited areas.
Dermabrasion and Dermaplaning are known as “surface repair.” They help to refinish the skin’s top layers through a method of controlled surgical scraping. The treatments give the skin a smoother appearance.
Also known as otoplasty, ear surgery is a procedure used to improve the appearance of the ears, making them better aligned with the face and head. The goal for the procedure is to make the ears symmetrical and reshape any deformed cartilage.
Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty is a procedure to remove fat, excess skin, and muscle from the upper and lower eyelids. Most patients opt for eyelid surgery to restore a more youthful and rested look to the eye area, although the procedure can also correct drooping upper lids and puffy bags below the eyes, which may be interfering with a patient’s vision.
For the ultimate facial rejuvenation and the most dramatic results, a traditional facelift procedure, or a rhytidectomy, is recommended. A full facelift procedure involves the removal of excess fat and skin, the tightening of underlying muscles, and the redraping of the skin around your face and neck to give your face a tighter, more youthful look.
Facial contouring changes the basic structure of your face to create a more attractive, harmonious balance among your features.
A forehead/brow lift can help correct aesthetic problems by minimizing the furrows between the eyes or on the forehead, lifting the upper eyelids by getting rid of heavy, excess skin on the brow, or raising the position of the eyebrows for a more alert look and youthful brow arch.
Laser Resurfacing is a procedure used mostly to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, especially around the mouth and eyes.
The term “maxillofacial” refers to the two-thirds of the face below the eyes. Thus maxillofacial surgery is a type of specialty reconstructive surgery used to correct a wide spectrum of diseases, defects, and/or injuries of the face, head, neck, and jaws.
During a neck lift procedure, tiny incisions are made and liposuction is performed to remove excess fat beneath the chin and around the neck area.
Rhinoplasty, or Nose Surgery is both a reconstructive and cosmetic procedure that utilizes various surgical techniques to improve the function and overall appearance of the nose.
